Time to start getting calls.



Ok. So you are just now starting up your new business in the Orlando area.....OR.....you are just now deciding that it's time to start to concentrate on Orlando advertising.

You also aren't looking to invest thousands of dollars to Brand your business...you just need some calls coming in? Right?

There are many different types of advertising mediums to look at but I would focus on 2.

Having an adequate Print and Online presence is the smartest decision for business owners in today's Information Age. Most people go online when they need a product or service. A lot of people see an ad and then go online to check out the website....and then make their decision.

OK. Here are some cheap online ways to get some calls without spending too much.

Superpages.com
Go to their website and fill out a free profile full of content about your business to help it come up organically in the search engines. Superpages.com also offers a host of different options to "upgrade" your listing from adding a Pay Per Click campaign to a Logo for your profile. If you have the funds to upgrade, I would start small to "test the waters" first.

local.yahoo.com
Is another option if you are looking to gain some Search Engine popularity and have a profile so you can tell people about your business. Yahoo offers a few levels of profiles. Basic, Enhanced and Featured. The Enhanced is only like 10 bucks a month so it out first to see if you get the response you are looking for. Yahoo does a great job of telling you the differences in the many options you have...so do your homework.

Google.com
My third recommendation goes to the largest player of all...Google. Google gets the most traffic so of course, you want to have a presence. Click on "Sign In" and create your account. Set up your business profile so you can show up on the map. You can also add coupons to appeal to people comparing your business to others. Google AdWords are also a pretty inexpensive way to get traffic to your website....but most likely if you know how to use AdWords....you already have a profile!

Craigslist.com
This is a great place to place free advertising. Fill your ad full of keywords and it will help give it organic traffic on the major search engines. Find your city....and post....it's pretty simple.




Ok...lets talk about Print Advertising. Make sure you know your stuff.

Distribution. Readership. Circulation. Etc etc.

All can have a huge impact on the Ads you invest in.

On a local level you have three major players in the Orange County Area.....

The Orlando Weekly Offers Local News, Art and Entertainment in the Central Florida Area.

The East Orlando Sun Focuses on local news and events in the East Orlando area.

Orlando Sentinel's Forum Publications Focuses on local news, events and advertising in the Orlando and Volusia County areas.

All three offer different positives and negatives.

The Orlando Sentinel's Forums are by far the most COST EFFECTIVE when you look at the COST VS People that Read our papers every week.
